Welcome to Spindleshanks Tahoe Restaurant, a charming American restaurant nestled in the heart of Kings Beach, California. Located at 400 Brassie Ave, this delightful eatery is more than just a meal—it's an experience, perfectly harmonizing with the stunning scenery of Lake Tahoe. With a menu that boasts fresh ingredients and generous portions, Spindleshanks stands out as a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a rustic log cabin ambiance, complete with an expansive porch that overlooks the lush fairways of the nearby golf course. Many guests, like Suzanne Miladin, rave about the ambiance, declaring it a true gem that fits seamlessly into the picturesque Lake Tahoe backdrop.

Spindleshanks presents a brunch-to-dinner menu that features an array of flavorful dishes sure to please any palate. For the health-conscious, the Stacked Romaine Salad (US$10.00) dressed with balsamic Caesar and Asiago croutons is both crunchy and refreshing, while the Spinach Salad (US$12.00), adorned with Asian pears, candied pecans, goat cheese, and a white wine vinaigrette, is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Indulgence awaits with their desserts, where the Chocolate Walnut Brownie served warm with vanilla ice cream (US$8.00) promises to fulfill your sweet cravings.

One cannot overlook the vibrant cocktail offerings, including the alluring Hendricks Refresher (US$13.00), a delightful mix of gin, elderflower liqueur, and fresh lime, served chilled and styled. For those looking to unwind after a day of exploring, these handcrafted sips are both beautiful and palatable.

Customers are continually impressed not only with the food but also with the service at Spindleshanks. Eric Pettingill fondly reminisced about his exceptional pork chop and the attentive service provided by his waitress, Skyler, making his dining experience notably enjoyable. However, some diners, like M Santangelo, have commented on the establishment's need for a thorough cleaning, hinting at a potential area for improvement amidst its winning aspects.

Beyond the delectable food and inviting atmosphere, Spindleshanks is also praised for accommodating large parties, as Marianne Calille discovered when she arranged a delightful breakfast for a group of nine on short notice. The staff's willingness to accommodate is a testament to the hospitable culture that permeates the dining experience.

The best part about Spindleshanks Restaurant is the ambiance! The log cabin building along with the expansive, beautiful porch overlooking the golf course truly fits in with Lake Tahoe! The food was good and so was the service. The porch is also dog friendly.

My friends and I went to dinner. A total of 12 people. The service was super fast, the food delicious, and everything fresh. We ordered a variety of dishes and the portions were generous. I loved going to this place. I highly recommend it!

Food was par - pun intended - and pricey but the portions were big. Fresh made sun ice tea was great. Love that I can bring my dog onto the patio but the place is grungy & dingy, lots of things need a deep clean or even demo.

We tried to find a breakfast place, and tried another place called Old Post Office Cafe. But they had a 35-minute waiting list. So we turned around and found this place. As soon as we walk in, we are amazed by the beautiful outdoor seating. It's by a golf course. Food was good, service was quick and nice. One plate is between $16-19. Total worth it at this beautiful restaurant. They also have a big nice bar.

Spindleshanks is a beautiful restaurant. My pork chop was better then my mom's. (Sorry Mom). Skyler was my waitress. Her service is top notch. Very attentive to my needs and made it an enjoyable evening. I will be a return visitor.

4 of us came for dinner 7pm friday night. we had a nice table on the patio great views, our server was pretty good, less attentive towards the end of our meal. food was pretty good. the brick chicken came with mushroom potstickers which were not good at all, very weird addition to the dish. artichoke very good, burger was decent and the pork chop was massive. overall great ambiance but pricey in my opinion for the quality of food.

We had a great breakfast here and sat on the patio with a lovely view of the golf course. They were very helpful in seating our party of 9 on short notice! Would definitely return.

I’m torn on this restaurant. We got a burger and the schnitzel. Burger was eh but the schnitzel was delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. But there was so much to not like. We went for dinner and the menu is so watered down compared to their lunch menu just so they can increase prices. They have happy hour specials but they are only available if you are eating inside. When you are seated outside, literally 5 feet away, you don’t get the specials. Incredibly dumb. Definitely would recommend going for lunch and not dinner.
